Lil' Senecio Himalaya

You'd be forgiven for thinking the Senecio Archeri Himalaya comes from the Himalayas, and yet it is actually from Southwest Africa. No, we've no idea why it’s called this either...

This adorable baby succulent is a great houseplant for those of us who are less than green-fingered as it is surprisingly easy to care for and durable. The baby Senecio Himalaya is a drought-tolerant plant that rarely needs watering, only when the soil is dry - although it does quite like the odd mist. Ideally, it likes to be kept in bright, indirect sunlight, but it can handle some shade, however, too much shade will cause its leaves to drop.

This hardy indoor plant can also handle a wide range of temperatures. In a perfect world, it likes it between 18-24°C, but it can deal with as low as 10°C. This slow-growing plant will only get to a max height of 25cm, so it is the ideal plant for smaller homes. Give your Senecio Archeri Himalaya baby plant a yearly trim to encourage new growth and keep it looking fresh.

We think the Senecio Himalaya would love living in your kitchen or living room, but be sure to place it somewhere out of reach from little hands or paws though as it is toxic to children and animals.
