Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera

This prickly little plant may seem like it's all sharp edges, but don't let that stop you from giving the Aloe Vera succulent a chance. For hundreds of years, Aloe Vera Barbadensis has been used in medicine worldwide, and it is especially great at treating burns, giving it the nickname First Aid Plant.

As well as wanting to keep you healthy, your Aloe Vera is air-purifying and evergreen - so you never have to worry about your prickly pal leaving your side!

The Aloe Vera is super low maintenance and easy to care for, rarely needing water or trimmed down. Keep it in bright, indirect light and somewhere warm (13-28°C) and dry, so it's happiest living indoors with you in the bedroom or living room. If your Aloe plant has soggy leaves, you've overwatered it, and yellow leaves are its way of telling you it's thirsty!

In true laid back style, the North African Aloe plant won't become too big for its boots, growing slowly to a maximum of 1 metre. This makes it the ideal addition to any sized home. Make sure you keep pets and little Pricklettes away from your Aloe plant, as it is toxic to animals and children if they eat it.
