The Pinstripe Calathea looks very dapper indeed thanks to its striking pale pink stripes on its deep green leaves. The Calathea Ornata makes the perfect addition to any home as it is child and pet friendly. Originating from South America, this Calathea isn't too difficult to care for, and although it is fast-growing, it won't get bigger than 1.2m.
Keep your Peacock Plant in the shade, this tall plant doesn't love the sunlight - ideal for homes with little natural light. In fact, the pinstripe plant loves the shade so much its lovely patterned foliage will fade if itās in the sun.
Calathea care is simple, water when the first 5 cm of soil are dry and occasionally mist them. This patterned plant likes it warm and humid (18-23Ā°C, minimum 15Ā°C) so its leaves will crisp when it isn't humid enough for them. Other sad signs include its leaves curling when it needs water or drooping when it needs misting.
