Triostar Prayer Plant
The Calathea Stromanthe Triostarās pink foliage makes it a firm favourite here at Prickle. You can spot a Triostar from its unique leaves, bright green, and pink pattern. Colourful plants tend to be a bit of a diva to look after, but not this Prayer Plant. They are shade-tolerant, but a little indirect sunlight will go a long way. Finding the perfect balance of lighting is the trick to making sure your Calathea plant's pink streaks don't fade.
Like its other South American Calathea siblings, the Calathea Stromanthe Triostar is happiest in humid rooms with temperatures of 18-23°C (minimum 15°C). Don't worry about Calathea Triostar care, this pretty plant will let you know if you're not treating it with the respect it deserves. Their leaves will start to crisp if you aren't giving them enough humidity, and curl if they are looking for more water. Keep an eye out for dropping leaves as that is a sign your Calathea needs misting. Regularly water and mist occasionally for your Triostar pink indoor plant to shine.
If this low-light plant doesn't convince you to buy it on its looks alone, it is also pet-friendly, a slow grower that doesn't get above 90cm, and it's air-purifying - so your home can look and feel good!
At Prickle, we are always here to hear you! Send us your Calathea Triostar questions @Prickleplantsuk.
