With a name like Calathea Majestica Whitestar, this Prickle Plant sets some high expectations for itself as it sounds more like a Game of Thrones character than a plant. Thanks to the White Star's gorgeous patterned leaves, it lives up to its name.

Having originated from South America, the rare Calathea White Star likes some home comforts to stay happy - think jungle conditions. Keep its temperatures between 18 and 23°C (minimum 15°C) and place it in a humid room. The White Star Prayer Plant is definitely one of the good guys as it is child and pet-friendly and air-purifying!

This fast-growing (height of up to 1.5m) beauty is the perfect houseplant, as caring for your Calathea White Star isn't too complicated either. Keep them in indirect sunlight, and regularly water and mist them. Crisping leaves need more humidity, curling ones need more water, and drooping ones need more mist. Our top Calathea care tip is to use half of the recommended feed amount as their roots burn easily.
