Coffee Plant

Coffee Plant

If it's coffee beans you're looking for from this plant, you might be waiting a while. It can take up to 4 years to flower in your home, but some might never see it flower.

If you know a coffee lover, this is the plant for them. Although it can take up to 4 years to flower (if at all), the Coffea Arabica makes the perfect kitchen plant. From tropical Africa, they are slow growers with a maximum height of 50cm, ideal for tiny homes.

These adorable little coffee plants look great and survive best in your kitchen (or bathroom) as they like it warm (20-25°C - lowest 18°C) and humid. While your coffee plant may take its time in blooming, it will make it up to you with its low-maintenance care. Your coffee plant likes to be watered little and often (only when the soil is dry) and kept in bright, indirect sunlight. If it starts to brown, trim off the leaves and stems as it may be scorched. Keep your coffee plant out of reach of little Pricklettes though as it's toxic to children and pets.

At Prickle, we are always here to hear you! Send us your Coffee Plant questions @Prickleplantsuk.
